UI/UX designed for trust, efficiency, and impact.

Senior UI/UX and product design for SaaS founders, startups, and digital teams without agency overhead.

Common challenges

The solution is closer than you think

You don’t need more complexity. You need clear thinking, the right decisions, and a designer who understands the bigger picture.

The strategic launch

Ready to launch, but unsure where to start?

Launching a digital product often means juggling strategy, UX, design decisions, and stakeholder expectations, all at once. Without a clear plan, it’s easy to lose focus or momentum.

Pixel87 provides a structured, senior-led design process that brings clarity from day one, helping you move from idea to a development-ready product with confidence and direction.

Improving the experience

An existing product that isn’t quite working?

If users are dropping off, feedback is unclear, or the product feels harder to use than it should, the issue is rarely just visual. It’s often rooted in UX, structure, or misaligned decisions made earlier.

Through UX audits, design refinement, and accessibility-aware thinking, Pixel87 helps identify what’s holding your product back — and improves it with focused, practical design changes.

Designing for scale

Growing fast, but struggling to scale design?

As products grow, design inconsistency, technical debt, and unclear patterns can slow teams down. Without a strong design foundation, scaling becomes costly and inefficient.

Pixel87 helps growing teams establish clear UI systems, consistent patterns, and scalable design direction — supporting faster development, better collaboration, and long-term product growth.

The Process

A winning product demands a winning strategy

The process is designed to remove uncertainty. Each phase builds clarity, alignment, and momentum. This ensures decisions are made with confidence, not guesswork.

The discovery phase establishes clarity, direction, and alignment from the outset.

Focuses on:
• Exploring new directions for the brand or product
• Challenging assumptions and existing ideas
• Using moodboards or UX audits to guide thinking

Why it matters:
• Establishes direction early in the process
• Identifies and assesses potential pain points
• Uncovers new approaches and sources of inspiration
• Aligns stakeholders through review and clear next steps

Drawing on insights from the discovery phase, clear user journeys and sitemaps are created to shape structure, flows, and content.

Focuses on:
• Defining clear information architecture and sitemaps
• Creating wireframes and interactive prototypes
• Establishing structure, functionality, and clear content flow

Why it matters:
• Streamlines user journeys and improves usability
• Identifies issues and limitations early
• Enables testing and validation with users

A clear visual identity is defined, whether refined from existing assets or created from the ground up.

Focuses on:
• Establishing Brand direction and options
• Defining tone of voice and messaging
• Refining colour palettes and typography
• Clarifying brand placement and usage

Why it matters:
• Clearly communicates what your business stands for
• Highlights your unique value and positioning
• Builds credibility, trust, and recognition with your audience

Once the UX is defined, we create key screens to align on visual direction using a cohesive design system.

Focuses on:
• Visual design direction for key screens
• High-fidelity UI mockups for all screens
• UI toolkit and scalable design system
• Consistent patterns, components, and layouts

Why it matters:
• Ensures visual consistency across the product
• Aligns stakeholders early and reduces revisions
• Defines style, identity, and interaction patterns
• Brings the product to a polished, development-ready state

FAQs

Common questions about timelines, process, and working together.

How long do UI/UX projects take?

Timelines vary depending on scope, collaboration, and feedback, but most projects fall within the following ranges:

> UX Audit & Direction: typically 1–2 weeks
> Product UX/UI Design: typically 3–5 weeks
> Brand & Product Transformation: typically 6–8+ weeks

A clear timeline is confirmed after discovery, once scope and priorities are aligned.

What does the working cadence look like?

I usually have a lead time of around 1–2 weeks before starting new work, depending on availability. Projects are broken into clear, manageable stages, and once a stage is agreed, you can expect an initial design output for review within 5–10 working days. This approach ensures steady progress and regular touchpoints, so you’re never left waiting to see movement.

How many revisions are included?

Each stage includes up to two rounds of revision. This ensures feedback is focused and decisions move the project forward efficiently.

Do you respond promptly to requests?

Throughout the project, I respond promptly to questions and keep momentum moving. Regular check-ins and clear communication ensure progress stays visible and aligned at every stage.

How do you communicate?

I typically work via email, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, or video calls depending on your preference. Regular check-ins keep things aligned. You'll have access to live Figma files throughout the project.

How do the financials work?

Work is scoped and delivered in clear stages, each with a fixed cost agreed in advance. A 50% deposit is taken before work begins, with the remaining balance due on delivery of that stage. Each stage stands on its own, giving you clear checkpoints to review progress before continuing.

For early-stage projects, I’ll provide an initial cost range and confirm a more precise quote once discovery is complete. Any changes to scope are discussed and agreed before proceeding.

Ongoing design partnerships are billed as a flat monthly fee, agreed upfront.

Can I pay for partial work?

Yes. I can scope individual phases or specific deliverables. Book a call to discuss what makes sense for your project and budget.

What if my budget is smaller?

Let's talk. I can tailor scope to fit your constraints. A focused UX audit or wireframe-only project might be the right starting point.

Do you work with agencies?

Yes. I offer embedded design partnership for agencies needing senior capacity. I work inside your workflows and integrate with your team seamlessly.

Do you work with startups?

I work with startups that are actively building, funded, or generating revenue. Pixel87 is best suited to teams that need senior UX and product design support without hiring full-time, typically from Seed stage onwards.

For very early-stage startups, a one-time design sprint is often a better starting point, with ongoing support available as the product evolves.

What about accessibility compliance?

Accessibility is built into every project from discovery onwards. I design for the latest WCAG standards and can advise on compliance for regulated industries.

Do you offer ongoing or retainer support?

Yes. Ongoing design support is available through Dedicated or Embedded Design Partner packages. Support is typically provided on a weekly basis, with flexibility to adapt as priorities evolve.

What happens after handover?

All final design files and assets are handed over in full, and you retain complete ownership. Where needed, I’m available to support implementation, answer questions, or provide clarification to ensure a smooth transition from design to delivery.
